Does anyone know why the December 12th Montreal vs. Atlanta game is NOT being shown on Center Ice? There are two networks broadcasting that game, CBC and RDS. I checked DirecTVs schedule as well and it's not on there either. However, I looked at the cable version of Center Ice (provided by InDemand) and the game IS listed.

I don't think any of those schedules are incorrect. I'm wondering if there is some kind of strange carriage problem that the satellite companies deal with when there are multiple CBC games being broadcast simultaneously (Washington vs. Toronto is at the same time on CBC)? Why couldn't they use the French feed provided by RDS?

Ideas?

Don't they adjust schedules from time to time? They may still include one of the network broadcasts in their schedule before 12/12.

I'm surprised the Atlanta feed isn't available. Atlanta generally broadcasts their games...

Atlanta only broadcasts 3/4 of their games and the 12/12 game is one not being televised.

I have indeed seen them adjust Center Ice schedules but for some reason both satellite providers NOT listing the game threw up a red flag. Plus both providers updated their schedule yesterday and neither added the game.

Indemand for TWC shows the game being broadcast on channel 537, so it must be a Dish Thing.

IslandGuy43 and Ehren,

I knew that InDemand was listing the game but now DirecTV just added it. I think that's a good sign for Dish too. There must be some sort of CBC issue that they're finalizing. I also just noticed that Dish has left channel 633 open that night (during the 7pm slot). That might be the channel that they're going to assign that game too if they broadcast it.

The RDS feed is only used if there is no other option

The game is on CBC as you noted (along with the Leaf$) and the Montreal game is only shown in Montreal in Canada so it probably will be shown on NHL CI

The Ottawa game is also on CBC. Does that show in the NHL CI guide?

Iceberg, yes, the Ottawa vs. Carolina game is being shown however it's the Carolina feed only.

That happens quite often for the Ottawa games on CBC. CBC usually only carries the game in the Sens territory, so maybe only one or two CBC channels has that game on. Most of the country either gets Toronto or Montreal for the first game (that is if CBC is carrying the Montreal game).

Maybe Dish just chooses not to carry three CBC feeds for the early game.

Update: issue fixed/AKA Greczkowski's the man

I contacted Dish and got the problem fixed for you. :)

Here is the reply from my contact at Dish...

Scott, it looks like the schedule we got from the NHL didn't include
this game, but they updated it and now it will air on channel 626.
Thanks again Scott!
