Sounds like things are really starting to pick up for Dish.

At the Start of the 2nd Quarter they had 13,584,000
So that means they added 416,000 since the 2nd quarter.
Thats nice.

Dish has added approximately 150,000 customers so far this quarter.
And yes, this is the first time Dish has hit 14 million customers
and yes, there is a difference between customers (14 million) and viewers (30 million)

I totally agree! Such negativity and dish bashing. Whey are they still with dish if they are not happy? I really don't understand!

OK. I decided that if DISH were to provide us with SPEED HD I would not gripe any more about "more HD channels". So, nothing but happy thoughts will eminate from this source. Sooooo ... I'm just going to sit back and enjoy all of the H O L I D A Y programming available this month ( Maybe Charlie Brown will get it right this year..... ) !!!

Even if you're not a DISH subscriber, this is still good news. When competition starts making big gains in the market, that means you have to improve your product. So I expect the competitors to do what they can to retain their customer base.
I think it's cool! Congrats Charlie and I am proud to be one of the 14 milllion. Overall, I am much more pleased with Dish in the three month period that I have had them than I was with their competitor over an 18 month period
It may be back to 13,999,999 if they don't do me justice and get me a replacement DVR soon THAT WORKS!
Sorry guys for me venting. The damn 2 month old 622 works until I watch something interesting and then it just begins to reboot constantly, then goes dead as a doornail for a few hours. I'm posting my frustration everywhere this weekend, so sorry to rain on everyone's celebration

They are far enough past the 14 mark that if you leave, they will still be fine.
