Replacing 612

So after 3 and a half months and six 612s later they are finally going to upgrade one for free, and maybe both if the new one we just got starts showing the same problems. The rep couldn't tell me which model yet because he could not get into the system since I just mailed back the old one today and they have to wait until they get it back, but he did say it would be a duo since they have no other single hd dvrs. He thought it might be a 622 but was not sure, how is that one? Is it the same UI and space? Frankly I love everything else about the 612 and if it wasn't for all the bugs and what appears to be cheap hard drives that break down after a couple weeks of use I would be very happy with them, so i definitely want something similar in terms of user interface.

How about the 722 or 722k, are they really different in terms of reliability and features compared to each other or the 622? I know the 722 has an ota and you can add it to the 722k, does the 622 have it?

Any advice would be great, just don't want another experience like the 612.

622 is a great DVR, same as the 722 with a smaller HD. If you get a 622 it will be refurb since they have not made them in a while.

cool, since they both start with 6 kind of got me worried, lol.

The 622 is also silver, whereas the 722/k and 612's are all black. The 722k has no ATSC tuner in it by default; you have to buy an additional module. But then you get two ATSC tuners, and one of them even works for the TV2 outputs.

Your challenge is to get one of these boxes for the $10 additional receiver fee, and not get socked $17 for the output you don't even want.
