Dont you mean 11842? (not 11742)

right now 4 channels log in

3ABN English
3ABN Latino
3ABN Radio
Radio 74

New MUX up on G19 at 11742 H 22000. Will be filling with AMC4 transfers and new channels over the next week or so. In several months when SES1 replaces AMC4, more FTA services will be filling the new satellite. SES1 will have a more confined footprint, but offer excellent coverage in Canada and the US.

Im not sure I like this :(, I get 101 fine now

Well I was hoping we'd get something new and exciting to watch:( Well hopefully when the new 101w goes up there could be some new stuff up there. Blind

I am glad to see Amazing Facts and Amazing Discoveries being added.

I scanned Transponder 11842 and getting the 3ABN Mux at 35% and AMC4 it is 95% will they increase power or does my dish need tweaking? I have the Glorystar dish with dual LNB's

So far confirmed G19 TP #6 channels are:
3ABN English
3ABN Latino
3ABN Radio
Radio 74
LLBN English
LLBN Arabic
LLBN Chinese
Amazing Discoveries
Amazing Facts

More may be announced tomorrow.

AMC4 101W will remain lit with these channels for several months as the viewers are moved over. We estimate approximately 150,000 re-aims!

INSTALLERS: Register on FTA Install as this is where we will be referring all re-aims to locate a local technician to assist with the reaim.

The frequency is 11842, which is Transponder 6. I was provided the transponder frequency by the uplinker, RRSat on the floor of the NRB convention and had not been able to verify the frequency. Obviously, my note was in error. SORRY!

The transponder is a new frequency that has not be used on this satellite before, so it is under testing at this time. Initial reports suggest that it is a very strong transponder comparing to others on the bird. I would expect slight modifications to the MUX over the next few days.

If your signal quality is low on this transponder at this time, I would suggest a slight adjustment.

We would expect to see 101W fill up with new broadcasters as soon as the new bird is in position. With the new contained footprint, several of the old tenants will not be served. It should be a great open bird for North America distribution based of the projected footprint!

Initial reports placed this transponder at or above other transponders on G19. Sounds like your dish needs a slight adjustment.

Please help us qualify this new transponder footprint. I have started a new thread HERE to collect comparison reports on the Galaxy19 transponders. These reports will help the uplinker and satellite owner to make any needed adjustments.

LLBN is up. Nice to see that they actually got the name on it this time.

I'm curious if History/Bio will stay where they are til the new bird goes up? Will they then get automatically switched to the new one? Hmmmm Blind

Dish alignment in question...

Hi Brian, I added my report already and would like to comment here, I'm in So cal 93555 area and what I see is that my motorized dish which is set right on the dime gets good signal quality from all the resident TP's on G-19 but for some reason the 11842 is much weaker and if I jogg the dish a few notches to the WEST I can increase the 11842 signal substantially. I'm talking about a difference of 34% to 72% but as I do this tweaking, all the other TP's suffer proportionally, I also lose a few TP's to no signal, they are 11966, 12115 & 12177.

I hope other's notice this and it will be considered and corrected. Thanks

Good show tonight.

Hear what the hype was about..

Glorystar / Satellite AV - SatelliteGuys.US

Scott,

That definitely was a great show!

I was very intrigued with the interviews of Gamman Hannah from LLBN (I apologize if the spelling of his name is not correct) and Pastor Max Zin (again, pardon the spelling of the name as I am merely guessing from the phonetics of how the names sound).

They really had some interesting information and stories to tell and so did Brian Gohl. The lightning strike story when Brian was working on a telephone service call was a "WOW". Certainly glad you survived that one, Brian.

Both of the gentlemen who were interviewed at the the conference made a great plug for FTA for obvious reasons of their own. I would certainly like to play this archive of the show for one of my brothers. He was asking me about FTA just recently and I think that he is still a little skeptical regarding the legalities of FTA. He is only familiar with cable TV and Dish Network or DirecTV options and I don't think that he can fathom a FREE satellite television option which is legal. Perhaps I can convince my brother that there truly is more out there, available free of charge, that is good to watch.

Gamman made a statement about picking up discarded rejects from a factory from their dumpster and repairing them. Boy, doesn't that sound so much like a lot of us on this forum! I think we are all "dumpster divers" and oportunistic hobbyists and enthusiasts! :)

Yes, I really did get quite a charge out of the show.

Thank you Scott and Brian and all others who develop, produce and add to the show! It is very much appreciated.

Does anyone know if Hope/Esperanza will also be moving to 97w? It would be great to have all these religious channels on one dish.

We have been expecting an announcement this week regarding Hope Channel, Esperanza TV, Hope Church Channel and LifeTalk Radio either staying on 101W or moving to 97W. We expect a formal announcement next week.
