After MANY MANY hours of work DIGIBLUR and one other very helpful SatelliteGuys Member who at this point wants to remain unknown have gotten our Uplink Software working again! They spent many hours going through the thousand of lines of the code created by the late JohnH to order to find the cause of the issue and fix the problem.

First a very big THANK YOU from me to both people who worked so long and so hard to fix the issue.

Secondly I would like to reward both people because I understand time is money. I am giving both men $25 each in the form of an Amazon.COM Gift Card for their hard work. I wish it could be more but times are tough at the moment.

Also a number of people have asked if they could donate to help get this issue fixed, the answer is YES. I have setup a special donation address which can be found by CLICKING HERE. People wishing to donate to them may do so there. I will be taking all donations made through this URL and will split them 50/50 amung both parties and on November 1st I will buy them each a Amazon.COM gift card with the money plus my own personal $25 to each as well. 100% of your money will go to them for their hard work. I will post the 4 weeks of changes later this evening for folks that want them. I just had a minor cosmetic issue that cropped up on the module that does the channel name and links.

Wow! Thank you everyone. I've put in many many hours of work getting us to where we are today with the features and easy to read reports... I've always done it to due to the enjoyment of seeing the reports every week and the appreciation of knowing everyone else gets something out of the reports as well. Someone asked me the other day if I didn't have DishNetwork would I still do these reports? "YES! I did them before I had DishNetwork and will do them even after I don't have DishNetwork". I've put too much time into this to let a project die.

Now that the report is clicking on again I focus back on repairing the damage the hackers cause on the Joomla site I ran on the side for a PC users group. Anyone with any tips of security on that..feel free to PM them to me.

I should be able to start coding JohnH's process directly into my parser tool pretty soon. Some might be asking "Huh? 2 parsers?" Yes..there are two. JohnH's parser creates a simple flat file of the channels with a few flags on them..and nothing more...it does not create a report. My parser compares these two flat files and mashes it all up with several databases I have built and maintain of the spotbeam names, maps, market names, channel affiliations, channel locations, channel's full name, channel's websites, etc. The two files are compared and the tool automatically pushes a report to the forum and updates TheList. It's a crazy and data intensive process to create the report you see above and of course when one domino falls the whole thing falls. But that's the nature of the beast when we are dealing with data that is reverse engineered from the sky Once I build it into a unified parser I can guarantee you we won't have these long outages on things again. I've got my work cut out for me but it's all in good fun and I'm always up for a challenge!
