here are HD channels i would like to see added onto Dish Network
QVCHD,HSNHD,THE OUTDOOR CHANNELHD,GACHD,CSPAN1-3HD,GSNHD,FUELTVHD,OXYGENHD,NASAHD

Please contact Dish and ask them to add these HD Channels.
let me know what you think of these channels the more requests the greater chances these channels will be added.Does Dish have enough bandwidth to add alot more HD Channels?
and Dish has not put up RFDTVHD on their website how long does it to add a channel onto a website.

Thanks

Bluegras

Outdoor would not be bad out of that list.

Besides that, the Disney channels, and the remaining premiums, I don't know that Dish carries many channels that they don't have the HD equivalent of, where available.

They need to focus on filling out PBS channels, CW channels, and other locals if you ask me.

here in the chicagoland area we do not even have our pbs stations in hd WTTW and WYCC broadcast in HD.also WGBO (UNI) and WSNS (TEL) broadcast in HD what about them isn't there something there a law that dish must provide all the locals in HD?

I agree, PBS would be really nice (I've been waiting on that for years!) and Disney would be nice for the kids. NASA not so much anymore since the shuttle program is dead.

No there is not.

hey scott what should we do get all of our locals from Chicago there are four or five channels that broadcast in HD.should we keep requesting the channels?

So far except in select areas DISH only carries the Big 4 Networks in HD. There is not enough bandwidth to carry other channels in many markets. Spotbeams are limited with the amount of channels they can carry.

is there a satellite that will be launching anytime real soon for more bandwidth?

No there is not.

It is my understanding that there is a deadline of February 2013 for Satellite and Cable to supply all channels in HD in any particular market in which it offers HD.

Depending on the gov but that is the time table right now. I want to see BBC World News Now HD. So there is my wish list.

here is some info that i got from the VP of Weathernation.Dish Network please check into this channel in HD

Allen,

Thank you for your inquiry. Yes, our service is available in both HD and SD. We would be happy to provide our service to DirecTV or Dish Network, should and when they elect to carry it.

Kind regards,
Michael Norton

That will get pushed off for years as there is not enough bandwidth up there to carry all local in HD.

Never heard of WeatherNation, going to go check out their website now. :)
