Fox Soccer & Fox Soccer Plus moved??

They are removing it from the hd sections too.. 5306 & 9520..

Wonder wth are they thinking..

Are they really removing from 9520? I'm guessing they only have one HD feed that is mirrored in different locations. So they can't have different guide info in different locations for the same channel. I'm not worrying until something is confirmed by Dish. As of right now, we all still have FSC HD just with no guide data.

I think I'll just need to suck it up and watch FSC in SD on the non-HD tv I have if they ax FSC HD. Directv just costs too much and I have too much on my external DVR to just up and leave, and with the amount left on the contract, it just doesn't make sense.

Though if they ax the HD on FSC, FS+ should drop in cost.

I have passed it up the chain as soon as I get a update about it I will share. As for timers a manual timer is the work around right now.

As you can tell Zach, a lot of folks are concerned Dish are dropping FSC in HD, and customer support is giving inconsistent answers. What have you been able to find out?

FSC HD - 406 Frustration

I just joined this forum specifically to post my frustration with this FSC - 406 issue. None of today's matches were recorded on my DVR because, DishNetwork, in their infinite wisdom, decided the best way to disseminate the channel move was to mess up everyone's DVR timers and fill the guide with a message that cannot be removed. I GET IT, IT'S MOVING, LET ME SEE THE GUIDE.

Of course, DishNetwork has all of our email addresses. Apparently sending us an email about the channel move is just too difficult. Worse yet, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say this message will remain there until Sept 7. It's actually pretty laughable how incompetent that was executed.

With respect to the "Will FSCHD exist after Sept. 7?" question, I pay about $90/mo for DishNetwork and FSCHD is *THE ONLY* channel I ever watch. That's right, I pay $90/mo for FSCHD! The reality of the current teleco situation is that FoxSoccer is the only way to watch the big matches live in the US. (foxsoccer.tv typically has the bigger matches available after midnight, also the video quality just isn't as good).

If the HD feed is being dropped, I am canceling service immediately. I'm likely to do that anyways because I was hoping FS+ was going to be offered in HD this year, but it's not, yet it's still $15/mo extra, LOL.

I also joined the forum because of the way that Dish is handling the FSC HD channel. I have AT120+ because FSC HD is part of the package. I contacted them over the chat and this is the relevant parts of the transcript:
Dave (ID: FQA): I understand your concern HD FSC channel is available in channel 4775
Dave (ID: FQA): FSC in HD is available with Americas Top 250 package.
xxxxxx: I have it with AT120+
xxxxxx: And it was part of the package from the beginning
Dave (ID: FQA): We have SD FSC channel with AT 120 +.
xxxxxx: It won't be available any more in AT120+?
xxxxxx: The HD version?
Dave (ID: FQA): Yes, xxxxxx.
Dave (ID: FQA): I request you to please upgrade the package to Americas Top 250.

It looks like FSC HD will be available only with AT250, AT120+ will have only the SD version of the channel starting Sept. 7th.
This will be another push for me to cancel Dish. I was flirting with the idea for the last couple of months.

What about if we get fsc via multi sport

I was wondering that. It'll really p*ss me off to have been on the top tier for the last 4 years only to lose FSC HD a couple of weeks after moving down to AT200 and the multi sport package. Part of my reason for signing a new contract was that the agent offered the multi sport package to give me FSC HD and stop me going back to DirecTV.

It's been said before but I'll say it again. There are penalties if we try to get out of a contract we've signed up for with these cowboys. But they can change any aspect of the service we agreed to and nothing can be done about it. I know I'm repeating myself but I signed a 24 month contract last Wednesday purely because I wanted FSC HD. If I've been misled by Dish (like that's unusual...) I should be entitled to do something about it.

And to highlight the fact that Dish employees are saying all sorts of different things to different people, got this from the EPLtalk website a few minutes ago:

Talked to Dish a few minutes ago and after 3 explanations that made no sense, I got to supervisor level and she said, “We have no room on the HD satellite for the two FSC channels, so we’ve moved them to standard channels (406, 407). We’re looking for a bigger satellite and will replace them when we can.” End of story, not ETA, no price reduction, nothing.
After almost 6 years of being a big fan of Dish, I’m heading for Direct unless they fix this fast.

If that's true then I think the fact that no-one's getting the same story twice suggests that Dish are giving us the brush-off.

Ok, that was a nice way of saying they're lying to us.

So much for HD for Life if this is true...Honestly, I do not watch Fox Soccer Channel often (although I think the HD channel of it looks nice when I flip past it), but if one gets the SD feed and has HD for Life, shouldn't the customer get the HD feed as well?

My hope is that someone just forgot to remap the HD feed.

Ugh. Switching providers seems like such a hassle and I've never been one to contemplate the switch over losing one or another channel...but losing FSC HD would be the one that would make me switch.

What a pain.

If anyone is contemplating switching to D*, I should point out that a family member has D*, and with the Choice Ultimate ($70.99/mo. last time I checked), Fox Soccer Channel comes up with a "Channel not purchased (721)" message.

Also, with Dish Latino Dos, we are not seeing the HD feed of Fox Soccer Channel on 406.

Then get rid of the Fu@@ing fishing channel or something.

This is a disaster, Dish should be making a special announcement on 101 or something. They should also have people working day and night, with frequent updates. I demand a fu@king fix, I pay over $160 bucks a month as I have the 250 plus premium and international. The cost to switch to Direct TV will make no difference to me. I have also been a customer since 1996 with only a six month disruption in my service to try Comcast.
We should bombard the CEO at echostar dot com, post videos on YouTube about the issue, post on FB and twitter. That should teach them a lesson for lying and not informing their staff with the full details.

Could it be possible that what this whole thing is about is the fact that they're moving the HD version of Fox Soccer Channel to the AT250 package (and above) exclusively? Go to DishNetwork's web site and click on Packages > HD packages. Look at the right column under AT250. They go out of their way to make it clear that Fox Soccer Channel HD is NOT available in any package lower than AT250, even though the SD version might be available in a lower package. Obviously it didn't used to be that way. A lot of customers on here have said that they had FSC HD on AT120. So why make the change and move the HD version to AT250 only, just to turn around and get rid of it all together. They're just waiting to open the new 406 HD version to all the AT250'ers until an official announcement is made.

They're losing customers. So what do they do? They turn around and try to make up for it by pushing their existing loyal customers to increase the package they're subscribing to. Does that theory make sense?

It does make sense but don't forget that the Dish webpage that lists the HD packages also still lists FSC HD under AT120Plus, with the disclaimer that it's not available on AT200.

It seems strange to me though that the HD version could be kept back for AT250 subscribers but not those who subscribe to the multi sports package.

This is the way the website has always been. As SportBilly said, FSC HD is still listed under Top 120+ and Top 250 with the disclaimer that it isn't available in Top 200.
