It's 2011, why no HD pr0n?

Has anyone received any leaks about when HD pr0n channels might be coming to Directv?

Their is PLENTY of HD adult content, but no HD adult channels.

I think if Playboy went HD, it would dramatically increase their (playboy's) subscribers.

If D* went with a handful of adult HD channels, they could do a ad on late night TV proclaiming "We are the only Satellite Provider with Adult programming in HD!"

It's a huge marketing ploy for them, I don't understand why they have not done it yet.

Not to turn this into a DIRECTV -vs- DISH thread, but DISH has Hustler HD as a PPV channel. So that p roves there is HD content out there and available.

Didn't at one time DIRECTV have Spice HD at night?

I sub to the playboy channel, but I really don't watch much adult because of the SD-Only content. SD looks horrible on most HDTVs. Mine is no exception.

There is HD adult on the internet of course, but to display Full HD on a 42" TV requires a pretty fast internet connection, 10 mb does not cut it.

a few things here i use subscribe to playboy tv for like 5yrs but then they change format and its suck! and i know if Hustler gets HD i might come back if it not like $50 a month, but they have them Girls Gone Wild show on 306

DirecTV used to have HD porn in HD's infancy and it was a horrible seller. Could have been HD was too new, could be that most people realize that better porn can be had off the net and/or DVD rental.

If he is so dissatisfied with D*, then he should cancel his service and go elsewhere. He will probably complain about how he will have to pay an etf too, if he has one.

Actually it's the provider of the PPVs, and not Directv that I am mad at. The description the provider gave DIRECTV is not very accurate to say the least.

Besides installing a dish that does not receive all channels, not telling me that said dish would not see said channels, moving the holiday channel out of the cheaper packages, and not having Adult HD content, I've been pretty happy with D*.

It's hard for a company that serves over 20 million people to please everyone.

well then call D* and get the right LNB. Tell them you want to see Hope Channel (368) and you cant see it (that channel is on 119 too)

that Holiday channel has been in the larger package for a long time now. Most of us use it for Christmas songs and then they include it for everyone

You don't need 10Mb for HD porn. You don't even need 10Mb for Directv HD VOD. Since porn isn't shot in 1080p, 3-4Mb (if that) is all you would ever need (man the double entendres are endless in this topic - gotta step carefully!) for a live stream, and 10Mb is over 1MB/S when downloading, so it would take you all of a few minutes to download a video.
