I like that it has a UHF remote control kit can be purchased for this receiver which is included free for now from HyperMegaSat.

We were kinda' hopin' you'd buy one an review it for us. It has basically the same chipset as the Openbox and Manhattan, but the devil is how well the features actually work. I can see some people being very interested in the skew control. :)

Under the features it says:

"Audio Decoding:ISO/IEC13818-3(MPEG-1 layers I,IIand III), Dolby AC-3(option)"

What does the AC-3 (option) mean? The OpenBox decodes AC-3.

I like the full set of output jacks on the back and not just having a HDMI output

like on the OpenBox S10.

It decodes AC3 fine ..... ie = music on 91w outputs to the two RCA jacks

I'll put it on my Christmas list and see if I was good enough this year to receive one. :)

I've had one set up for 2 weeks now & while it is similar to the SSOs the Pansat menu is familiar & easy to use.
Haven't tried the polarotor control yet - have to run some new flat cable under the house first.
Still testing this for operation. Didn't opt for the UHF control & really wish I had.

Here's the manual & other files:

brex2001; Thanks for your report. I have Pansats 3500 and 9200HD, which I like. I am curious to hear of your experiences with the 9500HD, so do report again when you have more information on the unit.
Thanks!

Looking to replace a Pansat 3500 with something that does HD; the 9500 looks promising if only because the GUI might be similar to the older unit... Small learning curve for the user is a major plus. Looking forward to those reports!
