I found mine to be the same way. I called and the woman CSR had no clue. So while I was on the phone with her I gave it a shot at the new price.
Do you guy think it will go threw or will system not allow it? NewPrice.PNG

I'm not sure if it will go through. I didn't want to try it in case something went really wrong and then it turns into a long process to fix it.

If there would be a credit of $5/month for opting out of RSNs, we would strongly consider. We may watch 1 of the 2 (which happens not to be on D*) RSNs. However, it is most likely not enough for the extra five bucks. We would possibly put the 5 bucks in some other a la carte offering.

I have a problem with Dish and the Big 10 Network. The website shows B10 included in the Everything Pack along with NFL, NHL, ESPN etc. However I don't get it and they say that a subscription to the Sports Pack is required. It's deceptive at best. I'm a B10 school grad and when I switched from D* (which carries it in their regular pkgs) to E* I was told by E* that B10 was included in the Top 200 and above packages. I do take the Sports Pack during football season but I think E* should be a little more forthright about what's really included in their packages.

I think they have a little number after the Big Ten Network on the lineup card and on the site with a note stating which states get it included in their RSNs. Otherwise, I believe it is in the $9\month Multi-sport Package.

oldengineer lives in Eastern PA, according to his profile. Penn State is part of the Big 10, I think he should get the channel without the multi-sports package. oldengineer should go to one of the DIRT team to get this figured out.

I didn't look at his location. He should definitely get with a DIRT member.

This is an edit to my original post....

Looking at the Big 10 Network note, he probably doesn't qualify 'because' he is in Eastern PA. The note says: 3 = Available in: Ohio, Michigan, Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois and sections of Pennsylvania and Indiana. Penn State is not in Eastern PA and would seem to be disqualified.

My guess is that if he does not want the $9 Multi-sport pack that his only other option would be to "move."

I just wanted to add that he is right about BTN on DirecTV as we even caught it. I think it was in Choice Xtra. I think it is $68.99 now. AT 200 is $59.99.

wrong. Its in Choice and available to everyone

Sorry. It is Choice. I have been bad with keeping up with DirecTV packs and prices since we left them. I did say that I was unsure. I believe Choice is $63.99 (and I think this pack may have the $10 HD fee since I believe that I read Xtra or higher is needed for free HD for 2 years. AT 200 is $59.99 and eligible for HD for Life.

Golf Channel, NBA TV, NBC Sports, Speed, and TVG are in Choice Xtra. NHL Network is in Choice Ultimate.

depends on the promotion when you signed up

currently Entertainment package qualifies
subs who added the 24month free HD (we were subs already) the only requirement is auto pay
Some folks do require Choice Xtra or greater for HD

Still shows $5 less.... I don't want to chance changing even though it shows I would pay $5 less when I add it. Just my luck I'll lose my grandfathered channels somehow and then not even get the reduction in the end.....

I know what you mean. Ran into that in Texas too. Thought it'd be on since it was on comparable DTV packages; have to pay attention to the fine print.

I can see how someone could overlook that.....

This $5 price change is tied into the local channels guys. I just went on to drop HBO, noticed there was also a price lowering of $5 on my Top 250, I thought oh ok thanks Dish and submitted the HBO drop. Removed my locals as well, I am on chat with Dish right now to restore them.
