The 211k's don't work for on demand video downloads, or for Dish's sling adapter. Yes, it's connected online, but thats' about it. I use mine to order a movie that is not VOD. The External Hard Drive is identical to the 711k's for the most part. Cheers.

EHD on a 211/211k/411 has a totally different structure since the OS and data both must be on the drive, whereas for the 622/722/722k/922/Hopper only have the archive data.
