The Yankee fans are hot stuff. You should've listened to WFAN today with Mike Francesa. I mean the Yankee fans kept talking and talking about how the team is old, Cashman didnt get the right players, Chaves, Swisher, Grandson, A-Rod cant hit in the clutch. One guy even called and said since Cashman is going through a divorce, he might not have concentrated on getting the right players.

I mean you would think the Yankees were 20 games out, hell, you thought they were the Mets. I mean they are still tied for 1st and winning tonight. I would be shocked, totally shocked if the Yankees do not make the playoffs. I really doubt that will happen.

As if I need anymore aggravation with the Mets, the Phillies are somewhat back in the race. The Brewers are making a comeback and the Pirates are free falling.

I'm wondering if the yanks are gonna make the playoffs, I'm HOPING that Baltimore makes it ... nice to see different faces.

Rangers magic number down to 18 but Hamilton and Beltre left the game yesterday with injuries. :(

"Honestly I don't know if I'll wear this Red Sox uniform next year,"

...said Matsuzaka, who is in the final season of a six-year, $52 million contract.

Someone should tell him. :wave

From ESPN.com's recap of last night's Cardinals/Dodgers game:

Beckett... didn't endear himself to Dodgers fans by putting a line drive into right field in the third inning and then getting thrown out at first by Carlos Beltran when he didn't hustle to the base.

Saddest part of the Marlins season..if they played average...in others, .500, they would be 5 games or less from the last wildcard spot.

Sad.

I really thought the Marlins were going to be good this year. I'm surprised at them. But hey as long as the Mets are not in last place, so what.

:D

So did EVERYONE else. The Marlins will be back next year. Hopefully, the $$$$ saved with the dumping of players will put right back into payroll and scouting.
