"Starting September 20th, add Current TV to any package for only $5 a month - or get it included in America's Top 200 package and above."

I guess someone was listening to the complaints in The Blaze thread :)

I think both channels are entertaining and I give props to Dish for being fair to both sides.

Current blows! It'd pay $5 for it to be off my TV.

For $5.00 you should at least get the HD feed of current tv -if there is one. Otherwise I don't think there will be many takers of this channel with the bad picture quality.

Well, this may be a step in the right direction, if other channels could follow. Otherwise this is meaningless.

$5 per month for Current Tv?That seems pretty steep for a channel with such low ratings, and sd only.I could see $1 maybe $2 but not $5.There probably won't be many takers.

I really enjoy CurrentTV, kind of like a backup MSNBC. I flip in between them a lot when I'm at AT200- or go to Current when MSNBC is airing prison documentaries late Friday night instead of news.. $5 a month seems a little steep ala carte, though. I mean, let's say you're at AT120+ and you want Current, you have a choice between paying $5 extra for just CurrentTV, or $10 extra for CurrentTV, MSNBC, NFL Network, NHL Network, NBA Network, and a bunch of other channels. The choice is pretty obvious that the $10 is the better buy. :)

And this, folks, is why going full ala carte is a be careful what you wish for type scenario. If Current is $5, what's MSNBC or CNN or FOX going to be? $10 each? How about ESPN? Your bill will get right back up to and past what it is now and you'll get fewer channels. Glad it's not a trend.

Now, if they could add it ala carte at $1 or $2 a month, that would be a different story.
