Dish Police back in action.

Seriously, **** Dish and **** everyone who works in their audit department.

A true account stacker is way smarter than the idiots who does the audits. They simply wait till the audit police shut down all but one of their receivers, then they go around and collect all their receivers from their buddies and call in and do the audit and pass successfully everytime. Even better yet, I have heard of account Stackers use DISH Networks technology against them and have all the receivers hooked up to sling boxes to pass the audits that way.
Cool ! "Claude's guide to account stacking with Dish". That wasn't your intention, you know, to tell people ways to cheat Dish, right ?

Sure they catch a few customers here and there, but the problem is that they treat everyone they audit rudely and as if they are thieves.

Customers won't tolorate being treated this way and will cancel on that one reason alone. I have seen it happen way too many times, and many of those people are now watching Directv.

For a company that is still bleeding subscribers, I don't see how they can continue to pay people to work in a department that is susposed to make them money instead of costing them money by loosing subscribers.

This is probably the one and only time I'll ever agree with you about Dish. They better not be dicks to me tomorrow when I call them back.

It was not my intention. But really I find it funny that Dish has created the technology that people can use to cheat them, thats why I had to point it out.

Teehar, did Sylvia mention anything specifying a time limit to call them back? When she left the message on my voicemail, she talked pretty fast and low so it was kinda garbled, I mainly caught her name and the number, plus the fact that this is "to keep your service on all receivers."

that sucks! i expect 2 hoppers not to trigger any action from their audit dept.

this was exactly my situation back in late 07 that pushed me to directv. now this POS HR34 is pushing me back to dish's hardware. after 5 years going to 6 soon, i've pretty much had enough. hopefully i'll have a better experience this time with dish and their customer service. of course i'll take inferior hardware anytime before being talked to like a thief. for my sake i hope it doesn't happen again.

Oh wow,I thought you were kidding when you said that Sylvia called you!

She didn't specify a certain time frame to call back, just when I would have the time with no distractions. They do close at 9pm est though. When I returned the call yesterday, she had to read the card,if there are any distractions, any phone beeps, knocks at the door, etc etc,the test could not be completed, and we would have to do it all over again. So make sure you have call waiting disabled,no grand kids,or kids period, running around. My dogs we have chihuahuas in the house got in my way a couple of times lol,but she didn't say anything about me saying move dogs.:D You can hear the phone acting like it's tapped,I thought my wife had picked up the other line a couple of times. Not sure if they are trying to amplify to hear your footsteps or what there.I know they are recording the call, but this sound was different.

Anyway, don't sweat it too bad,try to make sure you have the correct remotes when moving from receiver to receiver.Just be honest,if they act accusatory then you can give them a little attitude.;)

Good luck,I'm sure you'll pass the test just fine.I bet charles will be getting this call very soon.

I'd do it just to see if they would call me. There is nothing illegal or improper about doing that.

Well, they are definitely making the rounds again. If you have 2 or more receivers, chances are you will eventually get the call.

great. this testing can be done if you're connected online? i don't and won't have a landline.

I have 2 ViP722k's & 1 ViP211k. I usually keep my DVR's & receiver on 205 Fox News. I have noticed however turning on my receiver or DVR's that the channel is turned to 101,is that part of the tests that they do to see if all my DVR's & receiver are in the same place? I'm tempted to just keep my DVR's & receiver on channel 101 when not in use.

Claude is right there is apparently easy ways to cheat the system. A coworker(who actively account stacks with his brother) was telling me that he was called around a month back and all he did is make sure his brother was home when he called back, then he called the audit dept from his cordless land line and when ever he was not speaking he would put his cordless on mute and when it came time to check the other receivers he sent a quick text from his cell(also on silent) to his brother, and his brother sent him the LID back with no issues, and he passed the audit.

Don't think it will have any bearing at all on whether or not you get the call.Your chances are less likely if all receivers are connected to phone or broadband.

See,that right there is what creates the problems for honest customers.
