NBC's Premier League Live Extra Time

Cancelling Dish tomorrow night. I'm an avid English Premier League fan and my current satellite provider cannot give me any details about programming that is due to be unleashed in less than two weeks. Just ridiculous in this day and age.
EPL is on NBC Sports and Dish with offer access to both the online live games and the spillover channels. You will have access to just about every EPL game.

What is unknown is FS1 which carries the Champions League (you've got time) and FA Cup (you've got time).

NBC has confirmed that Dish will be participating in carrying all the Premier League matches in its various forms, NBC Sports Network, Premier League Live Extra Time and the Live Extra streaming apps. Strange that Dish hasn't (will not?) confirm this but all indications show that they will. I think they're still trying to figure out if they should be moving NBC Sports into a new package or repackage this whole Premier League access into one of their sports package so we will have to pay a little extra, somewhat how we have to pay a little extra to get the NFL Redzone channel. Although NBC is not charging them anything extra for carrying these overflow channels or access to the streaming content, I'm sure Dish sees this as an opportunity to sign up more subscribers to its Multi Sports Package. That's the only reason I can see why they're taking so long to confirm this otherwise shouldn't they be eager to announce that they're giving their subscribers more programming for no additional cost? NBC is!

Wish NBC Sports was a part of the Multi-Sports Package (in addition to top 250) since it's the one channel I consistently miss having and the only reason I would want to go to 250 from my 200 package. Not quite worth it. Already have the Multi-Sports Pack for the FSN networks (And hopefully Fox Sports 1 when it launches)

That is indeed the rub with NBCSports. For me, it was a huge jump from Dos to 250, but $26 extra, I get every EPL game, and TCM, DIY, and Food Network as a bonus. But I'd gladly see NBC Sports go down to Latino Dos. :)

Hopefully they have this set up prior to the 17th ... Sports Live Extra is OK (great if away from my TV) but live games on Dish itself will be much better.

BTW, they certainly have enough free ALT Sports channels available from 10AM - Noon to show these all in HD if they wish. But considering that the ESPN college football and basketball packages are still in SD, I'm not getting my hopes up just yet.

Really hoping to see these Premier League Extra Time channels on Dish by this weekend.

Even the GameFinder doesn't seem to indicate these games will be aired... The clock is ticking!

By the way, I just chatted with a rep named Kevin. Helpful, but he had no idea about whether Dish planned to add Premier League Extra Time. He did say he'd put in a channel request for me.

I sent him the news article and he still said he saw no plans to add.

Reps don't usually know that much. And there has been no official word from Dish on it either, but NBC has officially said Dish, as well as others, will be offering it. I can confirm that NBC Live Extra is accessible to Dish subs.

I don't have a good feeling about this, after all, I've been waiting since March 2010 for Dish to add the HD feed of Fox Soccer Plus. I've already got Comcast and Uverse in the house for broadband, so I guess I'll wait and see who offers the best option.

The games are showing up on Directv sadly I am unable too receive Directv. Lets hope dish gets there stuff together today. Nothing is showing on the alternative sport channels.

Was just sent this by Zach on the Dish Forum. Still waiting on some clarification, especially the "last minute decision by NBC". Looks like by his remarks we're SOL on the Extra Time channels but matches might be shown on existing NBC networks? Not entirely sure what he's saying but it's not looking good. Even if an announcement back in April is not enough time for Dish to provide extra channels for 3 hours once a week, not even an option to start carrying them later on in the season that doesn't end till next May? Curious decision. Would love to hear Dish's official explanation on this one, seeing that it's biggest competitor has probably started it's "We have all the Premier League matches, Dish doesn't" advertising campaign.

"Games on linear channels (NBC, NBC Sports, CNBC, USA, Telemundo, mun2) will be available; because this was a last minute decision by NBC, DISH does not have the capacity to carry the extra channels that are broadcasting live games. Customers who subscribe to AT 250 can still watch the extra live gamesOn a PC/Mac - Stream from dishanywhere.com. Login using mydish.com username/ passwordOn a mobile device - Stream on the NBC Live Extra app."

Yep, just got that link from Zach S as well:

"Here a is a link to all the games available for the first 3 weeks. http://nbcsportsgrouppressbox.com/2013/ ... -coverage/. Games listed Extra time will need to be view via PC/Mac or mobile device.

Yep, we're screwed again by Dish. Just puzzling why they will not make these free channels available to their subscribers when their competitors will. Hope my Google Chromecast gets here soon so I can "airplay" the matches direct from the NBC website, in hd too. But not so sure if this is a solution for the less technical among us. Oh Dish, really thought you wouldn't let us down on this one. SMH
