I'm there now with SWMBO and MiL. Nice. Good crowd, although not many in costume (we are- come to the good friar for a blessing). Seems to be fewer shops and no mead this year. Anybody else attend and have the same impression?

Cast in Bronze is here. ALWAYS a SUPERB show, I'll watch him once or twice more before we leave.

How does it compare to our Maryland Renaissance Festival? I nearly had a heart attack the last time I went, because my 3yo (at that time) disappeared into the crowd... She was fast, even at 3!

Did you shave your head on top? I want a picture! ;)

There are a bunch of these fairs/festivals across the country. I've attended both the Southern California and the Northern California versions. They were exactly the same and a great deal of fun. Ya gotta love walking around with a beer in one hand and a huge beef rib in the other! :)

Do you know my Uncle, usually dressed in black?
He's done pretty well for himself!

Yep, they're suicidal and don't even know it!

I'd say it's a bit smaller than the one in MD, but was quite enjoyable. Of course, I'd go almost anywhere for a Cast in Bronze performance- maybe even a WWE event! ;)

BTW, no shaving needed.... :(
