2013 MLB Postseason

Er...why is Lackey pitching relief?

Back in the 1960s and early to mid 1970s, maybe half of the top starting pitchers pitched once or twice a year on what was called their "throwing day", a day half way between scheduled starts when they normally threw at about full force.

Actually, you saw the reply. Fox really sucks.

Exactly! They're too busy with their in-game interviews when there's action on the field. Frankly, I don't understand why the teams allow these interviews during play. As far as the pickoff play goes, I didn't realize it happened until Joe Buck told me it did.

Looks like David Ross will probably start again tonight...

The Sox are now 4-1 in the starts where Ross (who was 0-for-4 on Sunday) has started at catcher, including 2-1 with Lester.

“[Ross is] ready to go [Monday], and likely will be back there as he’s paired up with Jon Lester,” said Farrell. “Good game caller, as he’s always been known for. Very good at framing pitches. And ran a very good game once again tonight.”

DAVID ORTIZ, DAVID ROSS EXPECTED TO START AGAIN ON MONDAY

I always assumed he was around 60-65?

I guess I was way off.

Gee, I guess 12 sounds better!! :eek::D

In the interest of full disclosure, I'm 47. :)

Still don't understand the original 12 comment, within the context of this discussion. :confused:

Love, love, love this lineup!! It potentially gives both Pedey and Papi an extra at bat, and I think that could prove to be huge in the late innings!
