and with the addition of KPXD HD, the DFW market is now an all HD market on Dish. this means WWE fans in the DFW area like me can watch WWE Main Event in HD on 68 instead of SD on 216 or the west coast re-air on 217. plus more markets had their Ion station go HD too, so same goes for those markets.

I am not trying to be negative, but wouldn't Ion HD programming have reached more subs if the national feed(s) on 216 (and 217) was (or were) made available? I may be wrong about this, but wouldn't less space had been used by making the national feed(s) available rather than local feeds or affiliates?

Local affiliates may have syndicated programming and/or local sports teams that the national feed wouldn't have.

While I know E* is not D*, D* has the east national feed of Ion in HD. I am not sure what (if any) local Ion affiliates are in HD on D*.

Most of the Ion affiliates are owned by Ion themselves and are carbon copies sans the ID at the top of the hour.

Local affiliates (there are a few) are different than the O&O ones.

I also see the U-too in HD with my antenna, but the channel isn't even offered on Dish. It is channel 48-1 and is 720p HD. It is also offered as a subchannel, 26-2, so maybe that is why it isn't on Dish to begin with?

this is what I need you to do contact Dish network and let them know that you want WMEU channel 48 in HD from Chicago.it seems that Wiegel broadcasting is willing to give the channel for free to dish network it said on their website.
