I have DISH HD in a remote off the grid location. I have 2 separate sat dishes for 119 and 129 and for the most part everything is working fine. I also have the Hopper and Joey, I love them. BUT when I lose signal and have to go into Diagnostics/Point Dish operations I have questions.

For example, after choosing a satellite, say 119, what transponder should I choose? Does it matter which transponder?

I have the same question for satellite 129.

There is also 3 choices for Tuner, please explain what this means and which Tuner, 1, 2, or 3 should I choose? I "think" that Tuner may refer to the recording capability of the Hopper, but really I don't know.

Thank you in advance for my "education". Later, FF

Im not sure what you mean about the first part. You mean you go into that screen to try to peak it yourself? And dont worry about the 3 tuners part. As long as you're getting the same reading on all 3 you're good.

Are you not able to get 110 in your area? Really sounds like you may want to contact dirt and have them have a tech out there to look at it.

As far as the transponder it may be better to have a tech in your area look at it because they know what transponder normally works for them.

For me I put all my customers on 14
Also when you run a check switch it normally puts it on the transponder that is best.
