I just stick w/ the MICROHD?

It'll work,don't think it will do dvb-s2 but regular hd and sd should work,even with "eyepatch" stuff on it.If it's free,what the hell,play with it ,don't like it ,get rid of it.

Yes, I still have one and it also has a very good ASTC tuner that works if you have the right firmware.

They did have some CAP issues and I had to replace several CAP's but still a very good receiver with excellent fine motor control.

I would definitely grab it!

does anyone know if the astc tuner can also pick up clear qam?

I have a sonicview hd that is used for over the air pvr but the fan died on it. Now I don't use it because i don't want it to burn.

Dead fan: replacements can be found cheap.
I'm thinking of getting a Mediasonic HW-150PVR for OTA DVR usage.
