I am thinking of going back to a 722 that I own. I currently have 2 leased hoppers but hardly use one anymore as my brother moved out. I was wondering if it would be easy to just swap out the cable from the lnb and get DISH to activate my 722 and send boxes for my Hoppers or would it be more involved?

No need to go back to the LNB. Just disconnect the Duo Node and connect 2 of the cables to the 722.
Ah... I think you mean one of the cables to the 722, since the input to the nodes is DPP.
I think you still would need a separator using one coax.
