Can anyone give me instructions on connecting a Magnavox DVR MDR535H to a Cisco Time warner Cable box so I can record programs . I have tried the connections given in the manuals but none seem to work. Only one that's seems to be close I have a HDMI cable going from DVR to Samsung smart TV Hdmi port 4& the coaxial cable coming out of the Time warner box to DVR but it doesn't view 1080I & the DVR prompts an error that it doesn't support the current settings but it displays the program & I can view all the DVR settings. I had some one tell me I can't get it to work because the DVR doesn't have a card reader. Any Hints?

Use the composite or s-video outputs from the time warner box to the corresponding inputs of the magnavox box. The magnavox is a SD recorder, so 1080i recording will not be possible. It will upconvert for your tv, though.

Easiest way to bury cable?
