My set up on the surface seems simple (and that could be why I can't find an answer to my question) it will be for an RV with a vip211 box using the 1000.2 EA LNB. I would normally just have a technician come and do an install for me like I've done in my home but since I will be setting this up and taking it down when it moves I thought I could educate myself on these basics so I can do it myself.

First question which I've found conflicting responses to is if I need to have a switch or multiswitch to use this type of twin LNB? There are the three outputs labeled 1, 2, 3 and I've read both that you use 1 of them to connect to a box or you use two of them with a multiswitch. I can not figure out for the setup I want to use what I'm supposed to do.

My next question is about pointing and to which ones. Again I'm getting conflicting information and I am hoping for a simple answer. How do you know which satellites to point to? 110, 119? 61.5, 72? My locations are primarily in northern Michigan if that matters any.

Thanks for any help. Like I said I just need to know enough to get this set up and then positioned again when I move locations.

Newer lnb's have the switch built in, I believe from your description, yours should have it. Also, since you stated that your lnb is EA, that would one for 61.5 and 72.
If you want/need 110,119,129 Western Arc you need to buy another LNBF for WA. Currently you can only aim at broadcasting coming off 61.5 & 72.7.
