And the "significant other" thinks?

I was worried about this too, surprisingly she took to it a lot faster than I expected. She told me she wouldn't go back to the Hopper with Sling. She likes the colors too.
Since her TV is a Joey mirror, she would be using a 40.0 remote...any problems there?

Easy transition for my wife. She likes it so far and the remote. I have the 40.0 remote there for her to use too if she prefers. She likes how there aren't any timer conflicts anymore.

Not as bad as I expected. I might even go out on a limb and say she likes it. She did mention something about setting a timer for the later showing of a program so as not to create a conflict. I told her with 16 tuners if we get any conflicts we have a problem and not of the technical nature! :p

My wife wasn't thrilled with the new setup, but I think she is getting used to it. I don't think she loves the new layout, but I can't blame her because I still prefer the old layout myself. I told her the updates were coming regardless of whether we had upgraded, so I think that helped.

Note that I backed up all timers and recordings, and am using 40.0 remotes only. If I had given her a new remote, or messed up her timers/recordings, then I'm sure she would have freaked out.

went from a 622 to a Hopper 3, she's happy with it. Took to the new remote just fine after I showed her how to work without the stop button. She's very happy to no longer deal with time conflicts.

Both my wife and daughter who can't tell the difference between HD and SD said wow how come the picture looks so much better.

We've had H3 for a week and a day. She uses out harmony one remote and said the new guide was ugly once and since then has said nothing. And we have used it every night quite a bit, including the super bowl. Again nothing except "what do you want to watch next?". To me that says it all.

Surprisingly, my wife has been relatively silent about the transition too.

I occasionally still hear about the transition from the old DTV Tivo based DVR though. THAT was a rough one for her.
