Anyone know a US number I can call to order Dish Mexico service? Just bought a home down there and I want to get a firm grasp on their packages, pricing and commitments. They don't seem to have an English version on their Mexico site. I called the US number and they don't have a number I can use.

Well I assume that you understand Spanish...because DM IS all Spanish-language channels (hint: that's why it's called "DISH Mexico") ;)

Here's a list of the current channels that are available on this service:

Depending on where you're located in Mexico, you could just take your current DISH service down there; I am not up on how strong the US sat signals all are down there. You might want to post where it is, so that someone can give you advice on doing this.

Many channels have SAP. The Spanish "all in" package looks to be $485 Pesos, or about $30 USD /month. I could take US service down there, but I'm curious to see what the options are. I'll be about 250 miles from the border and I've picked up some DirecTV signals while down there using a standard dish.

I have no idea what you're looking at, but if you look at the link, almost every channel listed ONLY has a spanish soundtrack. (I found less than 5 channels in english)
Maybe this IS the reason why there is not an "english version" of the DM website to begin with...since DM IS targeted toward native Mexicans - whom mostly do NOT speak english...but I guess you'll eventually find out...

The cable company has many channels simulcast in English. I assumed Dish did as well. I suppose I'll just use what I know works and be done with it. Thanks for the info Rich.

Packages - Telmex has contact number and does the billing to your landline account.

more: If you are 250 from the border, you will likely be able to get your full usa dish package. May need to put up a couple of dishes to cover the arc (the spread gets to wide for the standard multilnb as you move south). You may need to use a temp service address for locals but no big deal, a telephone call each time you want service moved "to vacation home" or to "home"
