Having Hopper 3 installed tomorrow morning...

Okay, I'm seeing many posts of H3 complaints.

So Im going to ask in my own thread.
Now Netflix on the H3 and Joeys are a big factor in my house.
This is an actual deciding factor.

Does Netflix work on the H3 and Joeys?
Now mind you I've have 2 Hopper2s with 2 Joeys, and NEVER a Netflix issue with the carbon or even without .

How about on demand? Does this function properly.?
How about recordings?
Is the corrupt issues solved?

I don't run my Hoppers through audio systems , so maybe thats the issues Im mostly seeing.

I would definitely like some valid unbiased opinions.

No problems with Netflix on my H3 or Joey 2's.
I don't know about youtube as I only use that on my LG.
On demand works fine in my house.
I've had zero problems with recording, but do not have OTA, which I thought might be a problem as far as recordings.
I also do not use a audio system, just my tv speakers and a soundbar.

Is that the norm these days?

I mean I would have requested an afternoon appointment if I wanted one.

I understand stuff happens, but now if he shows up at 1, thats estimated after 3 pm he's done, Which essentially wasted my entire day.

It seems to be the norm around here too. I think they schedule too tightly initially and with the updates the tech sends out, adjust as needed. Downside is they end up late at your house, upside is that it indicates the tech is probably doing a good job it just takes a little longer sometimes.

Well I would say good that they are keeping busy.
Lets hope its not delayed again...

Well Everything is installed.
So far so good.
Just going to wait for the H3 to get its 24 hours of updates, but so far so good.

I also found out that you can tell the Joey 1s apart from the Joey 2s.

Underneath the Joey, The label with I'm guessing serial Number on top and RI on bottom.

The Top Serial Number, The 2nd to the last digit says 1 for a Joey "1", and "2"for a Joey2

Apparently we are all dumb lol.

My take so far.
The Hybrid actually is a much improved signal strength over my standard 1.2k.
Same as 1.5k so thats a big plus.

He put up a new Dish as well and left my other 1.2k alone for my 211s.

Right out of the gate, the Hopper3 is definitely faster and smooth with commands.
The Joey2s are more than adequate in speed and function.
The Joey 1 is gone.

PQ is definitely NOT Improved over the H2s lol.
Its exactly the same as before.
Which I expected.

The remote is nice, But Dish should have not messed around with it that much.
The buttons are all over the place.
But its non the less, Just a learning experience.

Had no Issues with Neflix on the H3, didn't try Joeys yet.

Had no issues setting up a Favorites list either.
Not sure what that was all about.

But I'm impressed so far.
Hopefully the recording won't slow it down, and Hopefully we don't run into Joey issues.

Yes that thing was Horrible.
And Dish should throw each of them in the trash when they come back lol.

Software is U331 by the way, And no HDMI issues either.
At least not Yet.
The Icons are already populated and quite a few of the Ondemand options are already working.

Definitely a much improved start up.
