That I'll agree with when it comes to the Menu...
But the actual PQ, looks no different on my 211z ,211k than the Hopper 3.
Or the H2s it replaced.

Well, that's your opinion. I disagree and so do all the customers I've upgraded and everybody else that I've talked to that has noticed the difference all on their own.

Of course they have.

So you must be right then because you said so.

The Hopper 3 magically takes the same resolution and bite rate as before but make the PQ better.
Just like the 722 did over the 622.
Just like the 922 did over the 722
Just like the Hopper 1 did over the 922.
Just like the Hopper2 did over the Hopper 1
And now the Hopper 3 over the Hopper 2

Sure if you are talking 4K.
All you and your eligid customers maybe seeing Over contrasting.
Thats about All I noticed.
Which was quickly adjusted with a slight calibration.

Even Hall isn't convinced.
Because he's not Biased...

OH and the Joey 2s PQ is absolutely no different than the Hopper 2 or 3 or the 211s.

Even the POC Joey 1 still had the same PQ as any other VIP or Hopper I've had.

Guess you forgot all the complaints about how their PQ was terrible going to the Hopper 3 too.

Exactly. That's why I ping on it.

I find that LED useful.
I would welcome it.
The remote is awful too. IMO
The 40 is better.

This 52 is Just so random with it buttons, but also to just FF is now almost an art form.
You're better off just pressing the button like 6-7 times to skip a commercial.

DVR button isn't even anywhere near the DVR functions.

I think I found out why a previous poster was having an issue with his Favorites list.

If in the Guide, you have to press the option key, and then select your custom list.
Because if you just hit Guide button twice and select your list, It doesn't work.
As soon as you exit your list it switches to all subscribe again.
Tricky.

And you can't expand or collapse your RSN channels in the guide, or you lose the cursor/ guide Highlight.
The Joeys also.

Same issue as the H2 with CUI.
No blacked out recordings as of Yet, But I'm starting to add quite a bit to my recordings and I'll keep an eye on it.

Speed is good, and we'll see how it holds up once we get some capacity on the hard drive.

No Joey issues, Netflix seems fine so far across the board.
No HDMI issues with Joeys.
H3 had a slight issue with my Vizio.
For some reason the Hopper video would lag some, But I turned my Game mode setting on and that fixed that.

I upgraded my HwS to the CUI and I will definitely say that there was an improvement in picture quality. It was very noticeable to me. I know they are talking about the H3 but it could be the CUI software making the difference rather than the hardware itself.

That's what I was saying. The picture with the new CUI is much better because the new software was written from the ground up. Some time back I had 2 HWS's hooked to the same TV, one with the old UI and one with the new UI and the difference was definite and very noticeable. On all Hoppers, even Hopper 1's, the picture is much more clear and sharp with the new CUI.

You just go on and believe whatever you want. I'll go ahead and believe my own eyes over what you so nastily peck out on your little keyboard. I'm not biased, I'm honest. Please stop the insults and personal attacks. I don't have anybody on Ignore in this entire forum and I really don't want to start with you but your arrogant, accusing and condescending posts are really getting old.

I'm not sure about that. Some bugs that existed in the old s/w still exist(ed) in the new s/w. Also, in the Carbon release for the Hopper 2 way back in January, the old 'look' still existed in a couple menus/screens. Personally, I believe it's just the UI that's updated, not the core software.

Finally, it was Scott that indicated a possible improvement in picture quality but it was not due to the new software/interface, but due to video drivers from Broadcom. Dish could include these new drivers in the s/w running the old interface if they wanted too.

I only know what Vivek told me. I'm guessing that he should know. :)

My post was no more insulting than anything that you write off as fact for opinion.
I also didn't spend half my post making a personal accusations and comments towards you.

I suggest you go back the the thread about Bad Hopper 3 PQ and review some of the posts from many many H3 enthusiasts that don't support your "Opinion"

I'm not going to sit there and tell customers with Vips and H1 and H2 that their PQ isn't as good as the H3.

Just like I'm not going to say RCA Digital Antenna had Better PQ than your Philips Digital Antenna .
Or my Roku 2 has Better PQ than my Roku stick.

I've seen nothing at all to support this other than a few excited enthusiasts.

Good bye. You are now being ignored by somebody else, me. Keep pecking away with your offensive, arrogant, condescending, argumentative, and useless posts because nobody's reading them.

Yup, and when I solved the riddle, I clicked the "show blocked content" at the bottom.

JSheridan i thought you were arguing with yourself. That was actually funny. I only have one person on ignore myself, and it's the same individual.

LOL That's funny. I hate using the ignore feature but I see that in this case it's a real blessing. :)

Yup. I do not ignore anyone else. On any forum. Anywhere. Pretty impressive to be just 1.
