I was wondering if you can use the wally with other vip211k's on same system? I have been told by Dish that this will not work. Wondering if anybody is using wally with Vip211k?

You need to contact someone in the tech department and ask them, a wally is a newer version of the 211's, sometimes reps give out wrong info.

Yes Exactly.
It will work with 211s from a Technical standpoint.
Both are Dish Pro Plus technology.

But Dish's Rules prevent mixing 211s with Wallys for what ever reason.

I've heard people just buying a Wally outright, and calling in not telling them its a Wally upon activation.

But I didn't want to try that myself, so I can't say with certainty that you wouldn't be buying a Wally Paper weight.

But its definitely not a technical issue.
Only an issue if you want a Wally on the same Dish as a Hopper3.

They'll work but from what I'm told Dish won't allow Wally's on an account with older model receivers for some unknown reason. You should check with DIRT.

Yeah - I was told the same thing. I have VIP211k's and since I have bought all my own equipment, I wanted to phase one out at a time for a Wally. But I was told I had to do them all at once - no mixing of VIP211k and Wally.
