I really wanted this to work. My main reason for getting Sling was to watch Monday night football on ESPN. But the idea of also having TNT, TBS, Food Network, History, on demand movies etc. sounded great. But sadly it didn't work for me and I just cancelled after giving it a try for 90 days. I spent way too much time watching that annoying spinning circle instead of the game/program I wanted to watch. I literally screamed at the TV a bunch of times. My doctor says I shouldn't do that. So, with great regret I give them the boot. I hope to come back some day when they get their act together.

Before anyone questions my internet connection let me say that I have a solid 60 Mbps pipe. Netflix, Amazon Prime, MLB, Hulu etc. all play flawless.

I was going to try sling but after I spoke to a rep and they told me that I really wasn't going to pay for "only " what I watch, or channels i pick, decided to look elsewhere. False ads are "evil" in my opinion.
Xtra junk no one wants, forced into the lineup. The rep said I could add a package for a few bucks more...ahhh,what the point?

No, you can't pick individual channels with sling, but it's as close to that model as you can currently get.

Old and slow so I just saw the original post lol. I've had very few issues with Sling on our Roku 3 with 20/2 mbps internet. In the beginning the buffering was awful.
I'm in on the beta for the Dvr and so far no issues with that either.
