So I was thinking back to last year around March Madness basketball time when Dish, out of nowhere, launched the "Sports Bar" mode, or a four screen picture-in-picture feature for Hopper 3. And then I was thinking to CES of 2016 and wasn't it supposed to be six total screens instead of four? Anyways, it's been a year... and yes I read this forum enough to know that the answer is "soon". Just wondering out loud.

The 6 screen is only for 4K TV's. Anything below that you get 4 screens.

I have been using the 4 screens on my H3 for almost 2 months now without any problems.

They are having lots of issues with 4 screen multiview on non 4K TV.

I doubt we will ever see a 6 screen version, which is ok, as on a 4K set when watching 4 screen each screen is in full resolution 1080.

I do like the four screens for sure and everyone that has cable or Directv thinks it's pretty cool in comparison to what they have when I show them. I just wish they would, or maybe a better term would be could roll out the six screen option. Mainly since it was part of what they said it would offer in their sizzle reel style run through of H3 at Hopper 3 at CES last year. Oh that and I want PIP on 4K Joeys. Soon...I know...soon.
Every once in awhile, with my non 4K TV, the audio will drop on one of the four split screens. I just arrow over to another square and go back and it's back. That happens, maybe once a month so it's not like it's a frequent problem. In fact, I had to think about any issues I've had with the four split screen PIP and that was the only one. Again, barely an issue.

I like the 4 screen picture size and quality. You can see what 6 screens would look like by going to 151 college sports multi-channel view.

I use the multiview daily too to watch the 4 networks. I do have issues with it at times. Mostly buffer and sometimes black screen. I'm glad they know about it and are working to solve it.
