I have a Hopper 3. When I go to the "TV Activity" option, it shows which tuners are in use. One of the tuners has CBS, NBC, ABC, and FOX listed.

When I first received my receiver, I'm pretty sure that at any point in the evening I could click on any one of the networks and rewind that program to the beginning -- regardless of whether I had just tuned to that channel.

It doesn't work that way any longer. Now, the networks are listed, but when I click on them I can only rewind for as long as I've been on that channel.

Any thoughts on this feature and how it works?

That feature is limited to shows that are available via VOD, or scheduled future airings. You can't "just go back" and watch...unless it is in your 30 min (?) HD memory buffer,

That would be true the rest of the day, but the OP is talking about during prime time, when the shows would actually be recording to the PTAT folder if PTAT is turned on. It should be possible to join those shows in progress and rewind to the beginning, or simply start from the beginning of the show by selecting that option. Perhaps the OP turned off PTAT.
