Noticed CBS in the on demand networks on my FireTV Stick (DishAnywhere app), and on my laptop & phone via DishAnywhere. But it’s still not available as an on demand network directly on the Hopper3. Is its appearance on DishAnywhere new? And is there any hope of it migrating to the Hopper’s on demand catalog?

The only on demand is CBS all access. Even if you subscribe to the locals on demand isn't included.

The TS is correct. I don't know if this is new or not, since I really don't pay much attention to VOD via DA. From what I saw quickly, there are no full seasons, just the past few episodes. But that's fairly normal.

CBS access has been available for at least a year, but it is a waste of money to pay extra for something you are already paying extra for something that is FREE with an antenna.:biggrin2
But with CBS all access you can watch without commercials, well worth the $11.99

Again I think the point the TS was making is missing the mark. Many CBS shows are available via DA...NOT CBS Access.

My point was more of a question for anyone who may know: CBS On Demand is available on DA, but not directly via my Hopper3 or Joey. That’s...odd (to offer it only via the DishAnywhere app). I thought CBS wasn’t available at all, but saw it on DA and questioned if it will ever be available on the Hopper. I wasn’t questioning CBS All Access at all. It’s (IMO) a waste of money and sets a bad precedent for other networks to follow should it be a financial success for CBS. I hope the other three never require additional payment (above what I already pay Dish) for access to their on demand catalog.

Honestly, until their next contract negotiation, I do not see CBS on demand on the receiver coming anytime soon. I cannot speak on behalf of DA as I rarely use it, however there is a lot of programming on Dish Anywhere on demand that is not available and never will be available on the receiver. I wouldn’t read too far into it right now.

Most of the old stuff is better than the stuff that they make now, but I paid $1100 for my first RCA VCR many years ago. So I recorded most everything worth watching and watched it then. So, if it was worth watching, I have seen it. And VHS tapes were $20 each. It is expensive to be on the cutting edge.

I have boycotted Star Trek and will do the same with The Stand.
That'll bring CBS to their knees. ;)

I just subscribe to CBS All Access at the start of the Star Trek Discovery season & unsubscribe when the season ends.

BTW, jerryez, Star Trek Discovery is not available on OTA CBS (with the exception of episode 1).

I realize my actions do nothing to their bottom line but.... Even subbing temporarily allows them to continue their behavior. I resent their behavior so I ignore them...

I paid like $700.00 for my first Panasonic top loading VCR back in 1981. Lasted till I gave it to my brother to use and he said he had an electrical strike on his apartment and it shorted it out. By then you could get a newer vcr for like $149.99 so I didn't pay to fix it.

First VCR I ever saw was RCA top load boat anchor late 70’s. A P.O.-2 on my shape brought one along on R&R cruise to Seattle. Only made it to San Fran though. Damn low bid government yard overhauls.
