Starz & Encore?

There is actually a free sub-channel called Grit which is just as good as Encore Westerns, but does have commercials.

GRIT is channel 217 on DISH, but you wouldn't know that because you don't have DISH.

Another good one for old shows and westerns is channel 218 FOLK.

I could have sworn I had Starz at a reduced price, just checked and now it's at $10. Though I did have an offer for Showtime, $5 for 6 months.

This is going to get real interesting for me in the next several months. HBO/Cinemax is one thing.. but Starz/Encore as well? Hmmmm...
In my area Metronet is bringing Fiber To The Home (FTTH) starting next year, CenturyLink is hooking homes up with FTTH, and then there's Mediacom.

I don't want to pay for extra channels to stream, etc... if I have to do that, then....

I used to have the Flex Pack and Charlie was too cheap to include a free channel like Grit and GetTV in the package. Color me gone.

And they wonder why they are losing customers.

I wonder if it occured to you that those channels pay to be carried and charlie probably wanted too much money to include them in the elcheapo packages

I love my Flex Pack however Bounce, ME, GET, Buzzr, Grit & LAFF should be included in the package. Makes no sense.

What you call "trolling", I call telling the truth. This forum needs more truth-tellers like me.

Look at the top of the page, it says DISH Network Support Forum, not DISH Network Bashing Forum. You aren't even a customer but you feel the need to come here and troll and contribute nothing except negativity and your biased 'opinion' which is nowhere near the 'truth'.

If you don't like DISH then good for you, just take it somewhere else.

Swerving back to the original subject...

The first day and only for one day after my Starz and Showtime discounts expired they both appeared in the offers tab. Not since.

I understand this statement. Where I live, I get all of these via OTA. That's why subs near bigger television markets don't think about it too much.

I do as well HOWEVER via a dongle for which no programming information is available. Therefore these diginets on Dish come in handy (when made available in such package) because then and only then may I record a specific program as the Dish provided channels show the required synopsis.
