I have 2 HWS that are connected to Samsung 4k tiv's via hdmi.......

When I use the YouTube app (channel 371), is it possible to receive 4k?
How can I check the info to verify?

even though it is streaming, I am still not able to get 4k....not what I wanted to hear, but what I thought

Is there anything like youtube that would allow 4k viewing with Dish products?

I get 4k by bypassing the HWS and streaming directly to my smart TV. I believe that would be the only way if you don't want to upgrade to the H3.

The above discussion is a little unclear. Yes, the H2K can receive 4K, but it cannot display 4K all by itself. You would need a 4K Joey to do that. So, with either a 4K Joey or a Hopper 3, you can both receive and display and stream 4K. But apparently we cannot stream 4K from YouTube due to codec incompatibility. :(

If you are wanting to stream 4K, your Samsung TV (depending on the model) likely has its own Smart TV apps built-in for things like YouTube, Amazon, Netflix that would get you some 4K content. Otherwise, you might look into a streaming box like a Roku. Even with a Hopper 3 or 4K Joey, you are limited to what very little 4K content Dish provides (and I mean very limited), or Netflix.

I want my hockey games and an alternative to FSN Florida

Thanks for the Free 54.0 Remote
