Last night and now again today when I try to log in I'm getting the message that my receiver list has changed. When DA opens the guide seems really messed up with a bunch of channels showing no program information and I could not scroll below channel 71. When I click on any channels that do have guide info it only goes to a test channel that says my receiver is currently tuned to orbital 61.5 degrees. This occurred on two of my Firesticks. The Hopper works fine with the guide showing all channels.

I've had a lot of issues with DA since I got rid of my two Joeys but this is the worst.

Hey there! I'm sad to hear about the problems going on with your DISH Anywhere App. I would make sure that there isn't anything going on with the receiver, and then let's try unplugging it for 10 seconds.

Since both DISH Anywhere and your receiver are linked, maybe this can help clear any glitches going on.

I downloaded the latest Hopper 3 software last night which also caused the receiver to re-boot. Afterwards the problem was still there. My H3 is plugged in behind an entertainment center that is difficult to get to so I'd prefer to only do the unplug thing as a last resort.

From reading several threads I know that you folks have been working on a new UI for a while. Thought it might have something to do with that.

Gotcha. Well, I have been seeing several pending reports about the guide missing information. I'm going to go ahead and submit this over to our home office.

Another step that can help is uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

I'm trying another re-boot now to see if that does anything. I also noticed that when going to my account using the My Dish app on my phone the guide starts at ch. 71 (QVC). It doesn't show anything below that.

I've also had to do a lot of re-authenticating lately which has been a PITA. I did read that others were experiencing that problem as well.

Shut the breaker off to the circuit that has that outlet to save moving the entertainment center. Have done this myself a time or two.

Tried the circuit breaker suggestion. Left the power off for 5-10 minutes and then turned back on. Still have the same problem. No guide channels below 71 and when I click on any channels I get the test channel message. Tried my 3rd Firestick, same issue. So this is happening on 3 different Firesticks and using DA through the MY Dish app on my phone.

Dish, do you folks need to re-set my account or something like that?

Forgive me if I missed this above... Do you subscribe to satellite-delivered locals? If not, are you getting those channels OTA? All the channels I see below 71 are OTA channels.

I un-installed and then re-installed the DA app on one of the 3 Firesticks and that seemed to fix the problem. It's also now working on my phone. I will check the other 2 Firesticks later.

I wonder how the app could have been bad on 4 different devices?? Or did Dish fix something on their end? Can't believe I'm the only one that had this problem.

Interesting that you mentioned this because you're right, all of my channels below 71 are OTA. I no longer subscribe to the Dish locals. I've documented in another thread the problems I've been having with my OTA channels locking up sometimes and not recording anything. When that happens I get error message 739. No error message this time and all the locals were working on the Hopper.

This still wouldn't explain getting the test channel with the 61.5 orbital info on all the Dish channels, or would it?

I believe that is correct. Here's what I failed to understand.
The Hopper works fine with the guide showing all channels.

So, the guide problem is exclusively with DishAnywhere, and the H3 has no issues even with local channels other than an occasional failure to record stuff and the error 739.

Correct.

I tried a 2nd Firestick and the OTA locals were listed in the guide but only about half of the guide info was actually there. Perhaps the rest of the guide info will populate later similar to when new channels are added?? I have been having random missing guide info problems with DA in the last few months but only with Dish channels. I think a few folks have mentioned this problem in other threads.

My OTA channels and all guide info eventually came back on their own with DA on the 2nd and 3rd Firesticks late yesterday. Not sure what was going on that caused DA to mess up on 4 different devices like that. I have to believe it was something that Dish was doing on their end but who knows.

I don’t know what’s going on lately, but watching DA on my computer and the resolution is horrible. Almost looks like a standard definition. Actually, there’s no almost about it.
In one of my many conversations with tech support over my many current DA issues I mentioned the low quality on PC, she indicated this is the way it will be with the web version, and I should get a fire stick. That is not an option when where I am using DA there is not available internet access for external devices.

Seriously?? lol, why would I need a Firestick on my PC when I can stream Amazon Prime and every other app there is on my PC?? smh.....

I'm guessing the CS person meant that they should watch DA on a tv using a Firestick instead of watching on a computer. I can say though from my experience so far that watching DA on a Firestick has been far less than ideal. Numerous issues.

Yep, even at home - constant buffering being the worst problem on DVR'd content
