I currenty dave Direstv but my bill went sky high. Diectv will not do anything for me. I called Dish. I have 1 4k TV and 1 HDTV. I want to be able to take downloaded shows on an airplane. I see HopperGo. The rep couldn't tell me anything about it or if I could even get one. What equipment should I get. I have a Dish over the air connector to an outside antenna. Will that integrate into the program guide like Directv? thanks

Yes, you can transfer shows to a HopperGo and you can also transfer shows to your phone or tablet. HopperGo's are still available, we have a couple in stock.

You should probably try to get a Hopper 3 and a Joey 3. The Hopper 3 does 4K.

Yes, with the Dish OTA adapter the OTA channels integrate in the guide and can be paused, recorded, etc. The latest Dish OTA adapters all have dual tuners.

You should contact your LOCAL Dish retailer if you have a good one. They can probably advise you the best and get you the best deals.

Can you take a HopperGo onto an airplane? I thought that was a small wireless NAS...
Apparently so...

You can try here:

If there's none there you can try your local yellow pages or a Google search.
Note that this may bring up “order takers.” These are people that take your order and pass it to Dish and make a buck. They don’t actually do the work.

For example- In my area I get Via Satellite in Front Royal, which actually does the work. I also get a stereo shop and a Cellular Connection. These last two, I’m sure, just take the order and pass it on. I believe they will only handle new subscribers, so they need know very little about Dish options.

I am having trouble finding a local distributor in the Cincinnati area. When I google all I get is order takers. Any thoughts on how to find a retail outlet that does their own installations?

Even though we all know how to respect Mr. Sheridan for being an outstanding retailer, that does not mean all retailers are good. In my area, which is Central Illinois, the retailers here are known for their shabby work. And there may not even be any in Cincinnati which means that you will probably have to just call Dish. It’s a romantic idea to think that you can go around the corporate office, but that is not always the reality

All true (except for maybe the romantic part) and thank you. I would however like to add that the Dish contractors in our area are known for their shabby work so folks are always better off calling a LOCAL retailer around here. :)

How would one find a DISH contractor like your self in an area?

Sadly, I know that’s true in a lot of places, too. Columbus, OH and Sioux Falls, SD are 2 places I saw first hand
