I know Comcast is a dirty word in this forum. Here is an alternate way to get a 4K picture. If you use their internet service only you can get one free Flex box. The second box is $5.00 per month. There are no monthly service charges. I use this for Netflix & Amazon prime. You don't have to go thru Comcast for billing.
Yes I am a Dish subscriber for 20 years.

But the Hopper 3 has 4K for AP and Netflix.

Why not just buy a 4K firestick when they are on sale for $35? They run this sale all the time and you own it instead of renting for $5/month. I've not used the Comcast flex product but I'm sure that the Firestick is much more user friendly from an interface perspective based on all of Comcast's other junk.

I have used the Flex Box, for all of 2 days then back in the box, slow, locks up, just a real POS.

I did hook it back up since I heard that HBOMAX is on it and not on the Roku, updated the box and discovered it is even slower then before, back in box it goes, I did not even bother checking if HBOMAX is on it, the box will go back to Comcast anyway soon since my new house is in Charter country.

This is the funny thing.. Dish won't add Prime Video to Joey's because they don't support Dolby. But you can plug in a $39 firestick to a cheap ass TCL 32" TV with crap speakers and it works just fine.

Dolby my ass! Add Prime to the Joey's, we will live with it!!!

Not a Dish decision.

Necessary hardware is just not there.

I'm using Flex now. It's layout is similar the Fire stick. First box is free as long as you have Comcast internet. No monthly fee.

I set up the Flex for Peacock (I have Comcast internet) for free. Once I set it up and had it running I loaded the Peacock app on my AppleTV and it self loaded on my Vizio and they work just fine with my Comcast credentials. I put the Flex box back in its box for a sometime return to Comcast.
