I started off by not able to care less about Dish Scapes to really loving it!

When I first heard of Dish Scapes, I was like “so what”, so I didn’t subscribe to it, but I reluctantly said “yes” when talking to a Dish person, and actually started to love it for all its features. I am LOVING the Christmas Scapes they have. And yes, I realize that those will probably be gone after either Christmas or New Year’s and the season will be over anyways, but there are a lot of features on Dish Scapes I love (such as the American flag Scape), so I’ll have plenty to choose from. No, I am not trying to be an ad for Dish Scapes; I’m just saying my opinion. If you think Dish Scapes is stupid, that’s cool with me too.

Because Gallery is a paid for app, when it got past free preview, and Dish Scapes is a channel maybe Gallery needs its own thread. edisonprime's only mistake was confusing the Gallery with Scapes....

I really haven’t posted much on any message boards on any website in the past few months so I’m sorry if I missed that. As far as Scapes and Gallery being different, well I thought they were part of the same package (my mistake), but I happen to love both channels 198 and 199 and will subscribe to both.

I enjoy watching 199 on occasion. But it thankfully requires no subscription. Just saying.

Channel 199 (Dish Scapes) is free on any HD receiver (it is an HD-only channel) with an active Dish subscription. It is not available as a free channel on deactivated receivers (nor is any other HD feed on Dish available for free with no subscription) so channel 199 did not make it onto my list of free channels. Dish Scapes is also not available in Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, or the US Virgin Islands, for anyone who was wondering.

I Love DISH Scapes! A Lot of times I fall asleep with one on..makes for interesting dreams playing in the background of a dark bedroom.
I tell my family about them but having Spectrum or Comcast or other providers they do not have them so they do not understand what they are missing 2 thumbs up for DISH Scapes

Ya know, if more elements changed/moved I might enjoy DISH Scapes.

But currently, I'm more afraid of screen burn in since most of the scape is stationary, at least they were when I checked them out.

I LOVE my Gallery! I work from home and my office was the cat's room. So I'll have it going with the Washington state Birds so they'll be occupied, and I'll put a rainstorm on to go to sleep.

Easily worth the $5.
