Name a movie you couldn't get into that everyone else likes.

Agree with both of you! I bought LotR on DVD, but didn't buy the Harry Potter series. What a mistake that was! Who wants to watch endless hoards pop out of nowhere repeatedly and turn the battle? And if a medieval hack-fest isn't enough for you, some if not most of these hoards were magical. Well, hell. Where's the logic in that? Maybe the books made more sense. But I couldn't get into them either.

Star Wars/Star Trek, they're the same thing to me
Anything in the Marvel Universe and all super hero movies in general with the exception of the Dark Knight Trilogy

That is correct.

I tried watching the first half an hour of the first Star Wars movie before I couldn't take it anymore and Star Trek has been on in the background in more places than I care to remember. I couldn't tell you the difference between a Captain Kirk and a Boaba Fat. It's just a bunch of space stuff from the 70s to me.

Never saw ET, always meant to watch it, but never did.

Not going to be a popular opinion, but I did see the ripoff Mac & Me and I thought it was pretty good and enjoyed it a lot as a kid. Haven't seen it in years though.

The family watched the latest Matrix movie on Xmas eve. I went out to the shop about 30 minutes in. Tonight it is my choice and I pick "Cry Macho" with Clint Eastwood. :)
The original "Die Hard" is my sister in-laws favorite Christmas movie. Mine too. National Lampoon's 'Christmas Vacation' is a close second.

My least favorite Christmas movies are 'The Elf' with Will Ferrell and 'A Christmas Story'. My wife finds the latter painful to watch.

You don’t have to find either enjoyable, but the only real thing in common between them is space.

Star Wars is a space fantasy made for children with incredible special effects.

Star Trek is a futuristic space fantasy / science fiction made for adults that spends more time on plot.

For me the original Spiderman films. People saw in Spiderman 3 that I saw in all three of them.

I need to adjust because the last trilogy of Star Trek was much more like Star Wars, as in a more popular design and less what Star Trek is.

What do you mean? The Last Jedi took a hell of a lot of time covering the plot of the Resistance fleet trying to get away from The First Order. :D :D :D
