TWO YEAR CONTRACT OVER THIS MONTH

Spoke with a lady in Ohio today. My two yr agreement is due to end this month and I received a notice already of a $10 increase because of two $5 discounts that were disappearing. after a pretty lengthy conversation where I didn’t want my bill to increase and was willing to sign a new agreement to keep it where it is currently at $103.86 total for the top 200, H3 & Joey and locals and taxes. Current 2 yr agreement was sch to be over 10/26/22. After a long time of looking at different scenarios where she had to cancel what was left on the current one to see what options were available she came up with the “Loyalty” discount. She said since my current bill was due to go to $141 that she could give me a $40 monthly discount to that for 12 months of the 12 month contract. Bringing my next 12 months down to $101. So, the loyalty plan requires a one year contract and in my case averted an almost $40 increase and saved me a coupe of bucks on top of it. Mission accomplished.

I just got off the phone with Ashley in Lexington, Kentucky. Super nice and had the accent to go with it. ;) I had the preferred customer deal that was locked in for the last 2 years at $83.74 per month. She said that prices had changed in those 2 years and the new price would now be $123.74 per month. She said i could lock in my price for another 2 years at $103.74 ( an extra $20.00 per month) or i could get $40.00 off per month for 1 year making my bill $83.74 (same as i have been paying for the last 2 years), BUT the price is not locked in , only the $40.00 off per month. I took that deal and hope my package only goes up a few dollars next year.

Same here. If there is a small increase I will revisit streaming options again next year. YouTubeTV is my obvious choice but I’m just not a fan of its UI. Time will tell.

I'm up for a renew next month. I have had them for 3 years this go round. I had them for just over 10 years in the early 2000's then switched to Direct. they go stupid with their rates and dropped them I think in 2019??? got a Hopper system with 4 Joey's last year that Inita 2 year was up in November. I called the loyalty line spoke to a guy here in the US and got some kind of a "Black Friday deal" but it was only for a year the dude actually cut my monthly bill down by $10.00 I didn't bitch or complain or threaten to drop them he saw I was from Buffalo NY and was a Bills/NFL fan talked more football than Dish but only offered me a 1 year deal. so, do I call now or wait till I'm up and see how much the Bill price goes up and then complain about it?? Both dish companies don't seem to care about the current subscribers they just give the good deals to the new customers and wait till the current ones complain and then manage there bill by crisis.

call now. No advantage to waiting

If you go with the 12 month contract I believe you have to wait until it expires. The average amount seems to be between 30-50 off a month depending upon how long you have been with dish . I have been with them for over 22 years and would have to say that they have always been great to deal with no complaints.

I don't know about that. I was on the 2 year contract and had about 2 weeks left on it. I called and the CSR tried to renew it for me. She said that the 2 year contract was not available any more for me, even though I knew several here on SatGuys had just got it. She offered me a couple of others which came up on her computer. I took a 1 year contract.

When that 1 year was about to expire, I called again and asked for the 2 year. It was available again. I asked why it hadn't been available the previous year. That CSR said that it doesn't come up on their screen as available until the current 2 year contract expires.

I would let it expire, then call the next day. JMO

I'll ride it out till the end and whatever deal they have to offer hopefully they can lock me into a 2 year deal. and call it black Friday to make it sound official or whatever they have. I'd like to lock in for 2 years and just pay the yearly bump in the fee. That is what I was looking for last year to no aval. I have no complaints about the service it's been rock solid programing is okay I don't have my local channel for NHL games have to stream the games to what them but other than that for what I pay for it it's "good" do they have any updated equipment I can get and maybe they lock in a long-term contract? Hopper and 4 Joey's here they are all hard wired to the Hopper.

I guess a lot of it depends on the spin the CSR game. I was still a couple of weeks from the end of my two yr agreement and got a new one yr agreement for $40 less than the current rate which brought me down to $15 mo less than my 2 yr agreement was. I really didn’t care if it was one or two years but I did care it was less than I had been paying. Was told it’s renewable. Time will tell.

I'm going to call right now my contract just ended went from 105 to 160.00 will see what they can do.
15 minute phone call and was able to do a 1 year deal and instead of the new price being 160.00 it's going to be 110.60 I can live with a 5 dollar a month price increase dude said they just raised the price within the past month or 2 so hopefully I can make it through most of the 12 months without a big jump. a 12 month deal is not a price lock. I guess the 24 month one is but he wanted me to change programming packages it was a bit of a bait and switch. Keep what I have and keep me on the straight and narrow. worth the phone call to save $50.00 a month. I don't know why anyone would accept such a price jump? Thanks to the person that posted the Loyalty phone # the dude I spoke with was in Texas.

just an update on my experience with dish loyalty my fist bill after I made my deal was right 114 dollars then next bill was 163 What the hell. Found out it was a pro rated bill. Seemed pretty high still but I payed it. December's E-mail bill came in at 144. This time I called and they informed me that they didn't have any thing on my deal with dish loyalty which is fishy since the first bill i mentioned was the rate I was quoted. So I was turned over to the accounting department after a 20 minute wait, and was told they didn't have any info on the deal I made. So she gave me a 119 dollar a month deal. I took that but I'm not too happy with it of course. Probably not a good way to treat a customer that has been a loyal customer for 22 years. They wanted me to do a how did we do survey. I'm too nice to do negative reviews I guess so I didn't do a review. I would cancel my service and just use OTA but I'm sure I'm in a two year contract again. I however will not recommend Dish to anyone from now on.

I had the very same experience. We probably had the same guy from loyalty.

I called loyalty a few months back when my two yr agreement was ending. Ended up getting a one yr contract for $10 less than what I had been paying with no programming or equipment changes. It’s supposedly renewable yearly.
