Cannot watch MLB pre/post-game shows

I got MLB Extra Innings on them for the season as a loyalty perk. I've mostly enjoyed it so far.
However, I've noticed that I cannot watch the pre-game/post-game coverage for some, if not all, of the teams.
For example, while watching last night's Cubs/Diamondbacks game via the Dbacks feed on channel 740, the channel displayed a 721 message until 10pm ET sharp (which was about 10 minutes before first pitch), and went back to 721 error after the game coverage ended, but before post-game coverage started (around 1:10am ET).
It was also like this on 739 (Cubs feed), as well as both teams' RSNs (MARQ/664 and ARID/686).
Is this normal for some teams/RSNs? TYIA.

It was always that way with the Cubs on Marquee (out of market) until sometime during the season last year they started letting you watch the pre and post game shows and I am pretty sure MLB TV also allowed post game shows of most teams last year. Of course it might be different this year. MLB likes to make it is hard as possible to see their content.

That is normal, you need the Sports Pack to watch the pre/post game shows. You should be able to register a MLB.tv account since you have Extra Innings and watch them there.

Ahhhh okay. I thought it was just a weird thing that only impacted a few teams.

D* has always (since I've been getting EI's) been that way, cuts off right after the game.
