HITF do I stop dish from recording a series!?

Like seriously you can't just implement a "stop recording series" option? None of the instructions on Google work. So could someone from dish please, in detail, explain how to STOP( not delete ) the hopper from recording a series please?

With your remote press DVR, go up to Timers, find the event you want to stop recordings and highlight it, press Select, highlight Delete Timer, press Select, press Yes to delete timer. There you go.

Looking at your post more closely, what do you mean exactly by Stop Recording Series as opposed to Delete the Series Timer. They should be the same thing. You can delete the timer without deleting the recordings you already have.

I have a different question......
I have a "search" recording set up. The problem is that it records both the ota version, as well as the dish local broadcast.
In other words, I get a duplicate of each recording.
Is there a way to just get 1 recording?

Cancel the timer, find the channel where it's in the guide, and set up a Series timer from there

That works if you want to delete the timer altogether. If the OP just want to stop recording all episodes (including reruns):

1. Go to DVR
2. Go to Timers
3. Select the Timer you want to change
4. Change the option to "Only New"

This will keep the series timer but will only record New episodes instead of All.

That is good information. The OP wasn't clear as to what they really wanted to stop.
