Good q; I assume DiSH doesn't install offair antennae because they went the satlocals route. But then again, they integrate offair tuning into systems. But still this is roof or even tower work, which they don't do

I tried to do an OTA Channel Scan, with no Success. I have had this OTA a few years. Does anyone know where I can buy one? Or, does Dish still install OTAs?

I assume you are talking about the OTA dongle. Just to prove your dongle has died can you move the antenna input to your TV and do a scan on the TV? A really good idea is to insert a splitter off of the antenna coax and then both to your TV and the OTA dongle. That way if your dongle has an issue you always have a backup.

Yes! This is what I do! The Dish OTA tuner for some of the channels have such a low signal for me, but then my Zapperbox or the TV tuner plays them with no problem. Also, I live in a woody area, and the signal strength varies when leaves are on the trees vs when they aren't, and it seems like my TV or Zapperbox is more reliable than the Dish OTA tuner.
