It's more likely you saw a Hyundai burning, as there are millions of those under Recall for a faulty ABS module that can catch fire:

i only have seen one rivian R!S on fire iv'e seen more teslas on on fire than rivians!!! kia was a part of that as well another car i would not buy!!!

Well, so far the only vehicles I've seen in flames over my half-century of driving have been pickup trucks, so I guess that means I'm justified in not buying one.

I've still yet to see an EV vehicle fire but have seen many gas vehicles on fire along with several semi's, farm tractors and combines. Considering I review a 1000 collision reports a week and have yet to see one for an EV Fire either is something.
