Fox News HD coming soon. I was just watching the morning show and the hosts were joking with each other that if they have any skin problems they better get them taken care of right away, they said Fox News is switching to HD very soon.

I hope DISH carries this in HD as I watch Fox News Channel a lot.

Better hope this report is more factual, than most reports on Fox "news".

Looks like there could be a lot of main stream HD by the end of the year. Of course with CNN-HD being announced with that D* press release, it was only a matter of time before Fox would match. I wonder if MSNBC has enough $$$ on hand to keep up?

BTW: I thought it was CNN, NBC, & CBS who have been caught and admittedly fabricated news?

NBC had that model rocket engine to cause the truck to catch fire, and then claimed to report that the fire was because of trucks faulty design.

CNN made up some Vietnam military report.

CBS tried to cause a scandal before the 2004 election by creating fake National Guard papers about George Bush.

And Fox...... Well they have a crap load of talking heads from both sides of the aisle spouting opinions, and if you don't like what they have to say, well there are usually equally opinionated guests spouting off the other side of the argument.

Not on Fox News, but Fox News Sunday on Fox network is already in HD.

..... more factual than most reports from all those "objective" news broadcasts on CNN, MSNBC, CBS, NBC & ABC?

Fox News Sunday is not HD. It is 480i widescreen upconverted to 720p.

Since Fox is involved I would assume this will be 720p and not 1080i. I hope E* picks it up too.

In the end a "talking head" channel in HD is not sucha gain. But I guess you have to take what is there.

Hahahahahaha, lol, ROFL. Man that was good thanks......

In all seriousness though, I am glad. The more channels we get in HD the better, and it is a good sign to see the news channels moving. Sci Fi and Comedy Central Next? (crosses fingers).

Besides, it will be so much fun to see Brit Hume moping on election nights in HD glory. I have never seen so many sad news anchors as election night 2006. :)

Exactly what facts are you using to support this conclusion? And please don't just tell me about a report. Tell me what is inaccurate in the report and where I can find the real facts.

If I'm not mistaken, Fox News Sunday is broadcast in 16:9, 480i. Does anyone know different? If so, set me straight. :D Also, I agree with the quote above; Fox is more objective than many other news outlets and that is provable.

I enjoy most all HD content and I enjoy watching the various news channels, even Faux News.

The sooner they all go HD, the better.

Bill O'Reily's skin imperfections should be even more entertaining in HD.

Rupert Murdoch. His company, New Coporation, owns Fox News and a large chunk of D* among many other companies.
Darth Murdoch's News Corp. does own Fox and Fox News. However, he recently concluded a deal with Liberty Media to swap D* for News Corp. stock owned by Liberty.

I knew there was discussion of that, but wasn't sure if it had been completed. Hopefully the door will be open for E* to add Fox News HD when it becomes available.
