SatelliteGuys.US DishNetwork Uplink Activity Discussion - Week Ending 05/12/2007

This was something that we talked about with Charlie and he said he would look into it and get it fixed.

Looks like that worked. Its not all of them but its a start!

Thanks Charlie!

When I see things like "WNLO2 added to ..... spotbeam 09...) is that the addition of an HD subchannel? I mean... I also saw WNED01 and WNED03 which leads me to believe these are subchannels. And if these are indeed the HD feeds, does this mean they are turning on HD locals?

OR... could this simply mean they are carrying the subchannels but not necessarily in HD? Last I heard, we didn't have locals in HD here.

No just guide data for your Off Air Digital Stations (and subchannels)

So now instead of seeing DIGITAL SERVICE in the guide for your OTA Channels and Subchannels you will see actual guide data. :D

724 - GKINO - EchoStar9 121W TP 22 ConUS beam changed flags from 01011B6F00FCFF to 01011B6F00FDFF

What do these flag changes mean? Did they change the program package?

It was in the German Language Plus Package when it was added recently.

I'm betting the folks at DishNetwork will be looking at the boards to see how the guide data works for everyone.

It's good to see they're working on these again. Now come on and add the ones you had working before. I know Gainesville, FL isn't a high priority but we did have subchannel guide info for a few days.

woohoo, Baltimore sub-channels added, now only need Harrisburg. :up

note, too bad they only have MPB's Annapolis (WMPT) channel in there, no guide data for the Owings Mill (WMPB) satellite station. :(

What do you suppose the purpose of FX on 136 is for?
Is there a FX2? Is there a new channel expected, meaning that they want to move FX to place a new channel at 137? Inquiring minds want to know. lol

No love for the OKies yet either... I wonder which stations are holding this up?

Yeah good question. Last time I spoke with the local stations it sounded like they had everything turned into Dish. So will keep my fingers crossed too see what happens. :)

136 is usually an FX alternate for MLB playoffs. Seems a bit early for that. Let the speculation begin. :)

Yep, I was wondering this two. I can't remember anything other than the playoffs that this channel was used for. Any other sports that Fox has out there?
