    DISH 625 additional local channels

Just turn off the 625 and tune the channels with your TV as you would normally. You'll need another device (like a VCR) to record them, though.

MELODY ARABIA No Longer on 121

Thus, this previously-free channel now costs $35.98. Great deal. It was fun while it lasted. :)

Viacom to relaunch VH 1 Country

I was wondering when this was going to happen. I've had CMT Pure Country in my database for several weeks, but couldn't find any cable companies who carried it. I figured it had something to do with VH1, this just confirms it. Thanks for the info! :-)

Court Orders Dish to Drop ALL Distant Networks

I suggest that those of us who enjoy distant network programming petition AGAINST the renewal of broadcast licenses for the stations involved in this suit. Slum-lord locals can't claim you in their Grade B service area if they can't legally provide a signal, now can they?

Fashion TV Programs to be made available to DISH Subs

So much for my hopes of this becoming a full-time channel on Dish. You would think it wouldn't cost much, considering it is FTA all over the world.

    They win. I give up.

Perhaps that's what the OP really needs, something like Starchoice or Bell ExpressVu. There is all sorts of French-language programming on Canadian television.

    Goodbuy Discovery Times??

Last I checked, it seemed to be on an endless loop. Doesn't it get boring after a while?

    Echostar X and Distant Locals

Good News, Bad News Just checked the add locals page myself this morning. Good news, Dallas is back as a selection (a la carte, not as a package). Bad news, the online script now enforces the "only two of each network" rule. Good thing I got distants when I did...

    Bad News For Hackers

Wow, I didn't realise that they made such a variety of FTA recievers. I suppose it makes sense, since they already have the expertice with DVB-S technology. I wonder if they would authorize one of these recievers domestically. (FTA and Dish programming on a E* dual-tuner DVR system? Sweet!)
