Honestly I haven't ran into this issue as a tech. If the Hopper with sling was switched out multiple times and all of them are having the same issue. I would have to start looking someplace else. what has the 6 other techs that have been there done? Are your DVR's not deleting just your PTAT...

If you hit you cap you can buy tokens to speed you back up. Think of this kind of like your cell phone plain only i don't really think you are charged extra like a cell phone they just slow you down. That way we all get a turn on the internet.

Just a what if type of question, but what if you pointed a dish 500 plus with a single lnbf to each wa slot. Would that increase the signal. Of course you would have 3 different odus and a 44sw or 33sw would be needed but would that bring it up any?

Don't really think a lightening strike to a dish that is grounded or ungrounded. Both systems will fry and any person holding the cable. Just my thoughts. House power is 120v lightening is what 1million plus? just leave the cable in i'd be more worried about high winds causing static to build up...
