I received a letter from voom yesterday in which is stated that voom will be ending service on the 30th. It also said that all I need to do as a customer is search for a new provider for tv broadcast. No mention of returning the boxes or dish. Sounds like they aren't going to waste their time...

"Even if the elder Dolan fails at the FCC, he could persuade Cablevision's board to reverse itself and take the satellite off the table." This is an interesting thought, but wonder if E* would have been nice enough to allow this in their agreement. I smell a possible lawsuit in the works.

Not sure I understand why they would waste the bandwidth and money to add 2 spanish channels since they aren't going to grab the spanish speaking population without a significant lineup. At least they are growing, just wish it would be with some worthwhile content to help out their future.

It's a nice clear day in DC, not a cloud in the sky. I'd swear the satellite just disappeard :). The signal went 97-0 like nothing. I quickly tried to reaim (moving it a few degrees in both direction and couldn't get anything. Was still getting local OTA chanels though, so connections must...

I had been watching Voom for about 30 min and all of a sudden I'm getting no signal. I went to the satellite dish installation screen and have a reading of 0 coming in where it has never been below 97 before. I tried to reboot and still no luck. Anyone else having this problem? :eek:

I just had voom installed Friday in Alexandria, VA (just outside DC). I am having the same issues as described and was upset when I saw how poor it worked. Glad to hear it's not typical performance.
