S234 has caused my Hopper to become increasingly unreliable. Slowness, tuner management issues, audio problems, channel changes going to black, banner info incorrect/not updating, time remaining incorrect and recording problems where the recording icon in My Recordings stays stuck on the program...

Just got 229 as well. It's more colorful. I do like bluetooth and the ability to restore deleted recordings.

Had to replace mine a few months back as well after it died. So far so good on the replacement.

Issue that was fixed (or maybe not) is back again: incorrect/stuck guide data. If I switch channels on the hopper, and go back into the guide or use the right arrow to see what's coming up, it stays on a previous channel's info. No way to fix unless that tuner releases or I change channels on...

:up Thought the same thing many times. Separately, my DVR freeze/pause events from last night resolved after the nightly reset. Still, the number of problems over the last few releases compared to prior is really annoying.

Missed that had changed, thanks 3Halo. I stand corrected. I'm kind of amazed they implemented that without messing up everyone's recording partitions. Separately, just ran into a bug: Reset my network, and went into the Network Settings>Broadband to check the connection came back properly...

The PTAT partition is separate from the user partition. My assumption is the avail space shown may only be showing the user partition, hence when you delete shows from the PTAT side, it may not show up as extra space.

Dish's web portals and app are buggy and unreliable still when it comes to scheduling and playback.

Likely just the $7 per month for another Joey down the road. Good luck on the install! Hopper is by far the best DVR Dish has put out. Worlds better than the 722k.
